Deliberate AI
I spent the summer of 2022 as a Product Designer at Deliberate AI, a mental health tech start-up. I built the design system for their flagship application, which organizes and analyzes data for mental health clinicians. It's a start-up, so I wore a lot of hats. Along with UI and UX work, I produced marketing materials and a product website.
I had a lot to learn about how mental health clinicians work. I read what I could and talked with the in-house clinicians.
I inherited cluttered Figma files with inconsistent components, colors, and typography. I built a simple design system to tie the brand identity and interface together.
Once I understood the clinician workflow and what the AI could do, we defined the features. One is a scannable analysis and transcript of each patient-clinician session.
We built several data visualization options for tracking patient progress across different mental health questionnaire frameworks.
I designed a product page covering the features available to three kinds of user, clinicians, supervisors, and clinic directors.
